The modern warfare games (as much as I have bitched about them in the past ) I reckon are the best in the Call of Duty series. Then again the Modern Warfare games have had to compete with World at War and Black Ops. Which are good in the same way you praise a toddler for using the potty. So I'm really looking forward to MW3.

Red Dead Pre-Order Bonuses Available for Download

Rockstar has announced this week that the items you got when you pre-ordered the game are available for download to everyone on the PlayStation Store for about a dollar and the Xbox Live Marketplace for 80 Microsoft Points each. The items available and the description provided by Rockstar are below:

The Deadly Assassin Outfit: John Marston's Deadly Assassin outfit causes your Dead Eye meter to regenerate at twice the speed.

The Golden Guns Weapon Pack:
Available for use in single player, the player who wields the Golden Guns receives more Fame for each kill.

The War Horse:
There are countless horses to be found in the massive world of Red Dead Redemption, but none is stronger, faster or tougher than the War Horse.

I'm glad this is happening. It really annoys me that if I buy a regular copy of the game I don't get the whole game. It also gives players with more money an advantage in game. Especially when it comes to earning achievements. I don't mind that I don't get an art book or a figurine when I buy the normal version of a game just in game content annoys me. It's like because you can afford it you get an in game leg-up.

Next week I'm posting what I think of Red Dead Redemption.

Till then Peace.

Rockstar reveals L.A Noire's Achievement List

Rockstar has released the achievement list for its upcoming title L.A Noire which will be released in May this year. I'm really looking forward to this game and I can't wait to get my hands on it.

The list seems pretty straight forward and nothing on there strays from the kind of achievements that you would see in any other Rockstar game. They mostly consist of get the highest rank in this and complete these tasks during certain missions and gamerscore you shall receive. One achievement I found interesting was the Auto fanatic achievement which asks you to drive every car in the city. Real life achievements list

I posted this as a note on my facebook some time ago and it was popular so I thought I'd put it out there for everyone else on the internet to take a look at.

I find that sometimes life can be really boring, which is why I usually escape into video games. But even these can lose flavour after finishing the game many times (the exception to this being Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, I can play that over and over again). Which is why the people at Microsoft searched the world and stole or bought the idea for achievements and in turn Sony stole from Microsoft and thus trophies are born.

Achievements are challenges that bring some life back into a game that either was losing its appeal or had none to begin with. They serve no other purpose than to provide bragging rights to those who for the most part don't care. Even Microsoft had a hard time selling achievements to the gaming public in a video that can be freely viewed on Xbox live. However should you find yourself in a real spot of boredom chasing achievements of 'Achievement hunting' can be a good time killer.

This brings me back to my first point, life can get boring. So why not have achievements (or trophies I'm not Sony-ist, but I'm going to call them achievements because I can) for life! Each one has a gamerscore that gives at a glance how difficult each achievement is. If you want to show them off you can post your scores on your facebook page or on your Bio on xbox live and wherever the hell Sony lets you do that you can post it there too. Coming soon will be a facebook page where you can post your achievements, organize meetings for the multiplayer achievements and to discuss ways and means of getting achievements. Below are the list of achievements for your daily life that you can do when life gets boring.
